'The people v. O. J. Simpson: American crime story' levou 5 estatuetas.
A Academia de Artes & Ciências Televisivas anuncia neste domingo (18) os ganhadores do 68º Emmy Awards, principal premiação da TV dos Estados Unidos (veja os ganhadores abaixo). A cerimônia acontece no Microsoft Theater (antigo Nokia Theatre), em Los Angeles, nos Estados Unidos, com apresentação de Jimmy Kimmel.
Um dos destaques até o momento é a série "Game of thrones", que igualou o recorde do Emmy, com 37 estatuetas. O número é o mesmo da comédia "Frazier", grande campeã da história da premiação.
Já "The people v. O. J. Simpson: American crime story" contabiliza cinco premiações, incluindo melhor série limitada (novo nome para a categoria minissérie).
A atriz Julia Louis-Dreyfus ganhou pela quinta vez seguida o prêmio de melhor atriz em série de comédia, por seu trabalho em "Veep". O veterano Jeffrey Tambor levou a estatueta de melhor ator em série de comédia pelo segundo seguido por "Transparent", no qual interpreta um transexual. Ao agradecer o prêmioTambor disse: "Por favor, deem uma chance aos talentos transgêneros. Eu não ficaria triste se eu fosse o último ator 'cisgênero' a interpretar um transexual".
Além de Peter Dinklage, que já ganhou duas vezes, Kit Harington concorre a melhor ator coadjuvante em série de drama. Emilia Clarke foi indicada pela terceira vez, ao lado de Lena Headey e Maisie Williams, estreante na categoria melhor atriz coadjuvante em série dramática.

O brasileiro Wagner Moura e a série "Narcos" ficaram de fora da lista de indicados de drama. Ele foi indicado ao Globo de Ouro, mas perdeu para Jon Hamm, de "Mad Men".
Em 2015, "Game of thrones" foi a grande vencedora, com 12 prêmios, incluindo o de melhor série dramática. A HBO é a emissora com mais indicações ao Emmy pelo 16º ano consecutivo, com 94 nomeações só nesta edição.
